Joani was invaluable in getting our loved one to treatment. The family tried and failed several times. We would have never succeeded without Joani’t help. Intervention day was not successful, but Joani volunteered to continue the process the next day - which was a success. Joani’s approach with the family and the patient was excellent. Her awareness of the treatment process, her relationships with the treatment center and her availability after the patient enters the treatment facility is also invaluable. Highly recommended!

Hi Joani! I know it has been a long time. But 13 years ago you helped us with our son Craig with a intervention. He went to Father Martins Ashley and I’m happy to say he is still doing well. Joani did an intervention for our family and so much more. She is VERY responsive to calls, questions, etc. She shares her own experiences and wealth of knowledge and people she knows in the substance abuse world. I found her very easy to relate to and talk to due to her compassion for people with substance abuse issues and her intense personal desire to help them. Joani is a genuinely caring person and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interventionist!

You cared about my mom and my family and me when I couldn't. Because of you I was able to get the help I needed it when I needed it. My mom can sleep at night. I have a life today beyond my wildest dreams and it all started with a total stranger giving a f--- when no one else did. I can't fully express how I feel or want to say in words. All I can say is I have so much love and respect for you. I hope one day to be able to help someone or many the way you helped my family and I.

Can't Thank you enough!
Hi Joani, I just finished reading your book, The Interventionist. Coincidentally, today is also my fathers 8 years of sobriety. He gave me your book shortly after leaving Hazelden. I was given the opportunity to pick any book to read for one of my classes, and I found yours in my room. I can assure you that this was the first book that I have actually wanted to read, and have actually finished. Your stories are so deeply profound. I kept a journal as I read the book, as it was part of the school project. Thanks to your stories, I now know what I really want to do with my life. I want to help addicts, too. I'm a freshman in college so it may seem like I don't know much about addiction, but I have been surrounded by it my whole life, and have struggled with my own. Your book had such a profound impact on me that I could not resist reaching out. I hope you know how much light you shed upon the world with your truth. Addiction is a problem few want to talk about, but we all need to learn. Thank you so very much for your bravery, and keep doing what you're doing. I hope to get another book from you!
